HOLIDAY TREE LIGHTING – Boise/Meridian/Caldwell

 

 BOISE TREE LIGHTING CELEBRATION

The annual Tree Lighting Celebration will be held on  Friday, November 29th 2013, from 5-7pm, in The Grove Plaza . Boise City Mayor and family will light up the city’s Christmas tree in the Grove in downtown Boise at the Zions Bank Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration. Families in attendance will sing carols and join in the candle lighting ceremony. Bring your family to the event that lights up downtown and welcomes the holiday season to Boise. The event includes the lighting of the community Christmas tree, live music, caroling, candle lighting, and food and beverages.

Take a Tag from the Holiday Giving Tree and take a stand to help the WCA re-build lives. Return gifts with the tags or financial contributions to the WCA at 720 W. Washington Street or any Zions Bank Branch. The Women’s and Children’s Alliance (WCA) provides safety, shelter and support to women and their children escaping the trauma of domestic violence and/or sexual abuse. Your donation will provide hope -the most precious gift of all!

City of Meridian – Winter Lights Parade 

Decmeber 6th, 2013    6:30-8:00pm

Main Street in Downtown Meridian      

Downtown Meridian will glow with Christmas spirit on the evening of Decmeber 6th, 2013 as the City of Meridian hosts the 1st Annual Winter Lights Parade presented by Borton-Lakey Law and Policy.  The parade will begin at the corner of Main and Franklin and will head northbound down Main Street until just before Fairview Avenue.  Parade entries will light up the night in a fantastic display your family will love.  The evening will culminate with the lighting of Meridian’s Christmas Tree in Generations Plaza on the corner of Main and Idaho.  Contact the Meridian Parks and Recreation Department at 888-3579 or recreation@meridiancity.org for more information.

Winter Wonderland 2013

Friday, November 22, 2013 Depot Open House: 6:00  p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Downtown Lighting: 7:00 p.m.

“A Little Something for Everyone!”

Every year the City of Caldwell organizes the “Winter Wonderland” event in Downtown Caldwell, which is held on the Friday evening before Thanksgiving.  This fun-filled evening includes the annual Caldwell tree lighting ceremony in conjunction with lighting the entire Indian Creek with incredible themed displays. 

Activities include an open house at the Caldwell Train Depot and Interpretive Center, Santa’s Workshop where kids are invited to come and visit Santa &Mrs. Clause, rides on the Caldwell Kiddie Train, live animal displays, characters in costume, food vendors, kick-off to shopping at the downtown businesses, and live entertainment.
